Based in Columbia, SC, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2017, while in the middle of my career in the insurance field. With an extensive background in property and casualty insurance claims, I became a business instructor where I found my passion for finding ways to help others learn knowledge and retain information. This discovery drove my return to the University of South Carolina, where I am about to graduate with a Master of Education in learning design and technologies.
I have experience in both private, personal lines insurance, as well as commercial insurance protection for public sectors with expertise in the following areas:
Property, liability, and casualty
claims handling, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of claims in a multi-line claim environment, including instruction in these areas.
Training and education for municipal employees, including the following topics:
Risk identification and mitigation in all areas
Risk elimination and reduction
Risk transfer and insuring risks
Incorporating the technical knowledge and expertise in managing risk and understanding what an individual experiences when they suffer a loss, I partner with local governments to educate leaders and employees in ways to be proactive in teaching safety, while minimizing risks involved with the ultimate goals of preventing loss.
I offer virtual instruction designed and developed specifically for municipalities and offer in-person instruction in an energetic and engaging format.
